What happened??
To make a long story short….our server migrated our site to a new platform. In the process they have not been able to move over our databases and get our site back up and running. We are having a terrible communication problem.
As of right now we are over at Sketch Warehouse using their forums to keep in touch with everyone. You can find us here. Sketch Warehouse Please register and join back in the conversation and we hope to get ASF back up and running just as soon as possible.

DT Dare 3/23 - 3/29
Time for new dare, and this one is one of my favorites! Can’t wait to see what you come up with!
Okay, here is the challenge for this week — a scraplift, but with a twist. Here is the twist. I have selected four layouts from our four new design team members for you — you have to lift something from each layout selected.
So, it can be the colors from one, the title placement from another, the picture placement from the third, and the embellishments from the fourth. The sky’s the limit! Just make sure you point out what you lifted from each layout (that way I don’t have to think too hard! LOL!). Each layout is clickable to the gallery so you can see the full-sized one.
Sara’s Layout
Carolyn’s Layout
Dawn’s Layout
Julie’s Layout
No comments**All layouts must be new and must be posted in the ASF gallery to be eligible for the prize.
Projects must be linked and posted by midnight on March 29th. Make sure you link your project to the thread in the Cybercrops & Challenges FORUM, not the blog!
The winner will receive a small prize, free with your next purchase from ASF! I will pick a winner, at random, on Monday, March 30th.

DT Dare 3/16 - 3/22
Hope everyone had a great St. Patrick’s Day! Now, here’s the dare for this week brought to you by the letter D — Dawn that is!
I often find myself getting in the rut of only using one or two photos on a layout. Sometimes it’s fun to change things up a bit!
Your challenge this week is to create a multi-photo layout. For a one-page layout, you’ll need at least 4 pictures; for a two-page spread, at least 6. Here are a couple that I’ve done:
I fit 12 photos onto my two-page spread…I’d love to see someone beat that number!

Projects must be linked and posted by midnight (EST) on March 22th to this thread.
Next Monday, I’ll randomly choose a winner for a prize, free with your next order from ASF!
As an added bonus, I’ll send a RAK to the person with the most photos on their layout!

This week’s challenge is to use your buttons to create a frame on a layout, card, or altered item. Your frame may be any shape you choose - so go ahead, get creative and get your button groove on!!!!!
Here’s a card I made using a button frame:

DT Dare 3/2 - 3/8
Clearly it is time for a new challenge! And the challenge this time is clear as well. Here’s the challenge that Ken has created for us!
No commentsLet’s try something different this week. I’ve always wanted to try this so it will be a challenge for me as well. With all the hype going around about the clear scrapbooks, let’s give it a try. This week’s challenge will be to scrap a transparent scrapbook page or card. Good Luck!!
Here’s an example:

DT Dare 2/24 - 3/1
It’s Sunday, so that means it is time for the new Dare at ASF. Are you ready? Are you excited? Check out what Carolyn has in store for you. Here is her Dare. Make sure you do in and link to the forum to enter the challenge.
I enjoy stamping coupled with scrapbooking. I love creating my own patterned paper with background stamps, adding flow with flourish stamps, or saying something with word stamps.
Have you stamped on a scrap page? That is this week’s challenge. Use paint or ink, a big or small stamp, a foam or rubber stamp… you choose… just stamp on your scrap page.
Here are a few examples to get you thinking…
I used a Making Memories foam stamp and paint on a plain piece of cardstock to create my own background.
I used ink and a large background stamp on the teal paper, and I used Making Memories letter stamps with paint right on the photo.
No commentsI used a flourish stamp for movement, a lined stamp for journaling, and a diamond stamp for the flower. Plenty of examples right? Now get to work! Let me see what you come up with!

Weekly Challenge for Feb 17 - 23
Sara has a great challenge posted for this week — check it out and join in on the fun. Layouts must be linked to the forum and not the blog!
No commentsMix it up Challenge!
I really like the look and feeling of pages that incorporate both color and black & white photos. I think it is an easy way to create a focal point-using the color photo-as well as adding a timeless feeling by using a black and white photo.I challenge everyone to create a layout this week that uses at least one color and one black & white photo.
Upload your creations to the gallery and link them back to this thread by Sunday the 23rd by midnight, so that we may all be super inspired! On monday morning I will draw a winner out of the hat for a little goodie from the Scrappin’ Friendsy store.
Here is a page I created for my almost sister-in-law, Alicia using 2 photos, one black and white, one color.

She will pick her winner Monday night!
And if you need inspiration, here is Dawn’s beautiful layout.

DT Dare 2/3 - 2/10
Ready for a new challenge? Wanda has a challenge that is just that — a real challenge! Here is the information posted in the Cybercrop and Challenges Thread. Make sure you post your layout in the gallery and then link back to the thread itself and not this post.
No commentsOkay, I’ve thought about this a lot. I want to really challenge you this time. Take you out of your comfort zone, if you’ll allow me.
There are some scrappers out there who are really “raw” scrappers. They scrap the really emotional stuff, the intense stuff. They don’t shy away from anything, and they don’t just scrap cute pictures of their kids and pets (like me).
Even if you have a “book of me” you’re working on, you probably never thought about scrapping your painful moments, or embarrassing faults, or searing self-doubts. I challenge you to do that this week. Scrap something you thought you would NEVER scrap. Never put to paper. Never post for public consumption.
We’re all friends, right? So I did it. Made a page about one thing I NEVER talk about (or even let myself THINK about). And here it is:
And if I can do it, you can, too. Scrap it, post it, and then if you have to, hide it away at home. I know one lady who did a page, posted it, and then tore it up. If you need to do that, do that. But challenge yourself to scrap something you thought you wouldn’t ever share with anyone. See if it makes you feel better!I will choose a winner and post it Sunday evening. The winner, as usual, will get a small prize free with their next ASF purchase! And if you think about it, tell Jo Haynes thanks for the prizes, ’cause isn’t this fun?
